Terms of Use
The manuscript images, transcripts and metadata displayed on the Marsden Online Archive site are governed by an Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 New Zealand (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 NZ) copyright agreement.
Under this agreement you are able to share and adapt the material.
- Share - copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- Adapt - remix, transform, and build upon the material
However this needs to be done under the following terms:
- Attribution - You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
- NonCommercial - You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
- ShareAlike - If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
- No additional restrictions - You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
Attribution for the images and metadata must be given to the University of Otago Library, Dunedin, New Zealand. Attribution for the transcripts must be given to Retired Associate Professor Gordon Parsonson.
Copyright Attribution - Hocken Collections
When attributing the images or metadata please make sure the following information is provided:
- Title of the letter or journal.
- Author(s) of the letter or journal.
- The date the letter or journal was written (if known).
- Reference Number or URL for the letter or journal.
- Include the words The Hocken Collections - Te Uare Taoka o Hākena
