Cheltenham July 3 1819 Dear Sir, I rec’d yours of the 25th, and in reply— we feel ourselves under the direction of the Society and shall be happy to conform to any of their regulations respecting the settlement in New Zealand. There is no properly regulated National School in this place and therefore we avail ourselves of your kind offer to receive us into the Society house.
