Downing Street 13th Nov. 1812 Sir I shall have great pleasure in forwarding the views of the Society of Missions respecting Mr & Mrs Kendall, and I will give directions that a free Passage shall be provided for them on the first Ship that is taken up for conveying Convicts to New South Wales, which will not be before the beginning of the ensuing year. The Governor of the Colony shall also be directed to give them every Encouragement in his Power. It will be necessary that a list of the Persons for whom passages are to be provided should be transmitted to me in order that proper directions may be given to the Transport Board. I am, Sir, Your most Obedient Humble servant Bathurst To W. Wilberforce Esq. [f] [Mr Wilberforce begs the favour that this Letter be returned by Mr Kendall, as it is one of ye papers of the Missy Society for Africa & ye East—]
